Sibiu Cycling Tour 2020 – Prolog
Heute war der offizielle Start der Veranstaltung. Unter Beifall vieler Fans und Zuschauer fuhren die Teilnehmer mit ihren Fahrradern eine 2,5 km lange Strecke durch das historische Zentrum von Sibiu. Am Anfang war das Wetter perfekt, genau so wie es im Juli sein muss, aber kurze Zeit danach begann ein heftiger Regen welcher in Kombination mit starkem Wind den Veranstaltern, Teilnehmern und Zuschauer sehr schwierige Rennbedingungen schufen. Nach fast einer Stunde war das Gewitter vorbei und das schöne, freundliche Juliwetter war zurück, so dass der letzte Teil des Prologs und die Siegerehrung unter normalen Bedingungen stattfanden.

Morgen zieht die gesamte Karawane aus Sibiu aus, die Fahrer müssen die Transfagarasan Hochgebirgsstrasse bis zu ihrem Ankunftspunkt auf 2036 Hohenmeter bewaltigen. Und wir werden auch da sein und sie erwarten.

Sibiu Cycling Tour 2020 – prologue
Today was the official start of the event. The competitors raced with their bikes a 2,5 km track along the historical center of Sibiu in the applause of many fans and spectators. At the beginning, the weather was perfect, like it has to be in July, but short time after a heavy rain combined with wind created very tough race conditions for the organizers, riders and spectators. After almost an hour, the storm went down, and the nice, friendly July weather was back, so the last part of the prologue and the winners ceremony took place in normal conditions.
And these are the top 3 of the Sibiu Cycling Tour 2020 prologue:

Tomorrow the entire caravan will move out from Sibiu, the riders must climb the Transfagarasan Road till their arrival point at 2036 m. And we will be there, expecting them.
